Australia recorded a total of 624,273kW of solar systems installed in the third quarter of 2025, a 24.30% decrease compared to the same quarter of the previous year. Of the total solar installations, 72% were in the Residential (0-15kW) category, with Energy Build emerging as the top installer in this segment. Small-Commercial (15-40kW) installations accounted for 21% while the remaining 7% were in the Medium-Commercial (40-100kW) category, and were predominantly carried out by Sunboost and Energy Aware respectively.
Energy Build took the lead in the total market share, surpassing Sunboost with a volume of 12,138kW, representing 1.94% of the market. Formbay Trading remained the top STC trader.
New South Wales saw the highest number of solar panel installations, accounting for 28.6% of the market volume, totaling 178,516kW.
