Australia recorded 793 megawatts of solar systems installed in the third quarter of 2023, marking a nearly 8% increase compared to the same quarter of the previous year. Of the total installations, 80% were in the Residential (0-15kW) category, with Sunboost emerging as the top installer in this segment. Small-Commercial (15-40kW) installations accounted for 13% and were also predominantly carried out by Sunboost, while the remaining 7% were in the Medium-Commercial (40-100kW) category, with AGL being the primary installer.
Sunboost took the lead in the total market share, surpassing Aspire Energy with a volume of 26.2 megawatts, representing 3.31% of the market. Formbay Trading remained the top STC trader.
NSW saw the highest number of solar panel installations, accounting for 33% of the market volume, totalling 260.9 megawatts.
