Australia recorded 683.4 megawatts of solar installations in the first quarter of 2022, marking a 23.23% decrease compared to the same quarter of the previous year. Of the total installations, 59% were in the 0-10kW category, with Origin emerging as the top installer. 10-30kW installations accounted for 30% and were predominantly carried out by Sunboost, while the remaining 11% were in the 30kW+ category, with Origin being the primary installer.
Origin took the lead in the total market share, surpassing Sunboost with a volume of 19.1 megawatts, representing 2.8% of the market. Emerging Energy Trading remained the top STC trader.
NSW saw the highest number of solar panel installations, accounting for 28.6% of the market volume, totalling 195.6 megawatts.
