Australia recorded 819.6 megawatts of solar installations in the second quarter of 2021, with a 15% growth compared to the same quarter of the previous year. Of the total installations, 64% were in the 0-10kW category, with Sunboost emerging as the top installer. 10-30kW installations accounted for 26% and were also predominantly carried out by Sunboost, while the remaining 10% were in the 30kW+ category, with AGL being the primary installer.
Sunboost took the lead in the total market share, surpassing Origin with a volume of 30.1 megawatts, representing 3.67% of the market.
New South Wales saw the highest number of solar panel installations, accounting for 31% of the market volume, totalling 256.4 megawatts.
