Australia recorded a total of 604.1 megawatts of solar systems installed in the second quarter of 2022, showing a 27% decline compared to the same quarter of the previous year. Of the total installations, 81% were in the Residential (0-15kW) category, with Sunboost emerging as the top installer. Small-Commercial (15-40kW) installations accounted for 11% and were predominantly carried out by Origin, while the remaining 8% were in the Medium-Commercial (40-100kW) category, with AGL being the primary installer.
Sunboost took the lead in the total market share, surpassing Origin with a volume of 14.4 megawatts, representing 2.39% of the market. Emerging Energy is the top STC trader.
NSW saw the highest number of solar panel installations, accounting for 29.7% of the market volume, totalling 179.1 megawatts.
